Cannes Yacht Charter

Charter from the Port of Cannes and explore the Lérins Islands, Esterel coast, and the glamorous Croisette waterfront.

Overview

Why Charter in Cannes?

Cannes is the cinematic capital of the Côte d'Azur — known worldwide for its May Film Festival, the palm-lined Croisette and one of the most photographed bays in Europe. Its position halfway between Saint-Tropez and Monaco makes Cannes the natural base for charters that want to reach both ends of the Riviera in a single week.

Just 15 minutes offshore lie the Lérins Islands — Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat — protected bays with crystal-clear water, a 17th-century fort that imprisoned the Man in the Iron Mask, and a working monastery whose monks still produce wine. Most Cannes day charters anchor here for lunch and swimming.

West of the city, the Esterel coast unfolds in 30 km of red porphyry cliffs that plunge into turquoise water — a coastline only reachable properly by sea. Cannes also hosts the Cannes Yachting Festival in mid-September, the biggest in-water boat show in Europe and a peak week for yacht demand.

Best Time to Visit

May to October. The Cannes Film Festival (mid-May) and Cannes Yachting Festival (mid-September) are the calendar peaks — book months in advance for either. June and early September give peak conditions with much easier availability.

Recommended Duration

Day charters to the Lérins Islands are a must. Multi-day charters allow Esterel exploration and Saint-Tropez connections.

Marine Life

Protected marine areas around the Lérins Islands, Posidonia meadows, Mediterranean fish, and occasional dolphins.
